About The Rural Electrification Agency
The National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS) is a Corporate Services Unit (CSU) in the Exploration and Production (E&P) Directorate of the NNPC charged Section 88 of the Electric Power Sector Reform Act 2005 provides for the establishment of the Rural Electrification Agency.
• On March 16, 2006 the Board and Management of the Agency were inaugurated by the Honourable Minister of Power and Steel.
• Federal Government of Nigeria’s commitment to aggressive rural electrification is expressed in the following policy documents:
• The National Energy Policy
• The Electric Power Sector Reform Act 2005
• Rural Electrification Policy 2005 and
• The National Electric Power Policy 2001
