CCDI Africa started as group (Computer Research Organization, CRO) of computer science Students School of computing and information science Makerere University with intentions of sharing and consolidating knowledge and skills among themselves to attain various practical skills from experts in the computing environment. The group was later on joined by students from other schools within Makerere and other institutions (UCU, Nkozi and others). The group (CRO) turned into a company registered as Computer Career Development Initiative limited (CCDIL Africa). The major goal (CRO) was to add value to students’ degrees by imparting practical skills through sharing and training from experts in order to compete favorably on the job market and to attain the standards required expertise by the employers.
