Objective of Insurance Brokers Association of Uganda(IBAU)
- To protect and promote the general welfare and interests of insurance Brokers carrying on business in Uganda by co-operation and to maintain and extend their usefulness for the public advantage.
- To be a recognized official body in Uganda for the protection of the interests of Insurance Brokers and the maintenance of sound Insurance practice by members of the Association, and to be a representative body to discuss matters of Insurance interest with the relevant Government and Insurers Associations in Uganda.
- To establish, promote all classes of insurance business to the best interest of the insured and the insurer.
- To watch over legislation affecting insurance generally and Insurance Brokers in particular and to promote, or support and insist in any legitimate manner, the carrying into effect of any legislation having for its objects the common and good of such Brokers or such Brokers and the general public, and to oppose any legislation and considered harmful and, generally to watch over, promote and safeguard the common interests of the members of the Association and the general public and to co-opreate or collaborate with anybody or bodies of insurers
- To afford means of arbitration on or for settling disputes or questions between members of the Association, or between members and third parties.
