Previously, the school accommodated a few key staff at the school, with other teachers doing a long daily commute. In 2019, we partnered with well-wishers to construct staff quarters to accommodate more staff at the school.
The school did not have sufficient toilet facilities for the children to use. Worse still, they were constructed using mud and were in a deplorable state, creating daily health and occupational hazards to the children and staff. We constructed a modern pit-latrine to cater for both the female and males separately.
With the increasing number of children and availability of free primary education, some classes were too crowded. We involved friends and family, to construct a block of classrooms. The school has over 600 children.
