Construction of a Borehole for the Rwengobe community
Historically, the community fetched water from open water streams, sharing the source with their herds of cattle. In 2009, a community borehole was constructed. Members of the community now have access to clean water.

Construction of a new church for Rwengobe Church of Uganda
The old church with an average seating capacity of 50 people had been destroyed by strong winds and was in a pathetic state. The parishioners were at risk by simply showing up for the weekly services. Semliki undertook to construct a new church building in 2019 that can accommodate over 100 parishioners.

Computer Lab at Rwengobe Primary School
In 2019 and in partnership with external stakeholders, we set up a computer laboratory for the primary school. The lab has over 10 computers.

Electricity Supply to Rwengobe Church of Uganda and Rwengobe Primary School
For many years our factory was running on generator. When the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) extended electricity to Kamwenge district, Semliki Group paid for extension of supply to Rwengobe Church of Uganda and Rwengobe Primary School. For the first time, they now had access to electricity and its benefits to the community.

Construction of the staff quarters, male & female modern toilet facility and classroom block for Rwengobe Primary School
Previously, the school accommodated a few key staff at the school, with other teachers doing a long daily commute. In 2019, we partnered with well-wishers to construct staff quarters to accommodate more staff at the school.

Construction of classroom block for Bigodi Primary School
Bigodi Primary School is also within our community but closer to the town centre with easy access to electricity supply and the main road. However, they too had a challenge of the increasing number of pupils and same number/size of classrooms. Semliki mobilised supporters and in 2019, constructed a block of classrooms.
