Our network of over 2 million birders, scientists and local volunteers helps us to track, follow, analyse, conserve and understand every bird species in the world.

BirdLife Africa Division is one of the six regional offices of BirdLife International, a global Partnership of over 115 autonomous, national non-governmental conservation organisations, covering all continents, landscapes and seascapes.

The BirdLife Africa Partnership is a growing network of 25 such organisations, with a combined total of more than 500 staff and 87,000 members. Through projects, BirdLife Africa is active in a further 15 countries, hence overall working in a total of 39 countries.

To support our partners and to successfully advance our ambitious nature conservation goals for the continent, BirdLife Africa is comprised of an international team of experts in conservation, science, policy, advocacy, capacity building, fundraising, communications, finance and administration.
