Kenya Orphans Rural Development Programme (KORDP) is an NGO, established in 1996 to respond to the impacts of HIV &AIDS, poverty and conflict within communities in Kenya and beyond. The community based early childhood education centre approach has contributed to increased levels of literacy and enrollment at primary and secondary and university levels ; raised household incomes, diminished the duration that communities’ families experience hunger and incidence of deaths and new HIV infections amongst children aged 1-8 years.
