DavoDani Microfinance Bank Limited was incoporated as Limited liability company and licensed by Central Bank of Nigerial (CBN) in September, 2008 to transact all Microfinance Banking Business. However, in July, 2014,new investors acquired the operating licence and restructured the bank management and ownership for effective growth. The rebranded Bank Continued in Business in November, 2014.

In May 2016, Davo Dani Microfinance Bank Limited was granted a license as state microfinance bank having been upgraded from unit to state status.
