Service Information

The Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs, which spearheads the Ajira Digital Program, has partnered with KEPSA and other implementing partners, with funding from the Mastercard Foundation, under the Young Africa Works initiative with the aim of enhancing the existing Ajira Digital program activities to reach more youth and link two million Kenyans to digital and digital-enabled work by 2022.

In January 2017, the Judiciary launched the blueprint on “Sustaining Judiciary Transformation” (SJT) – A Service Delivery Agenda 2017-2021. The blueprint lays great emphasis on the use of ICT to enhance service delivery.

The Digitization of Courtroom Proceedings targets to improve the service delivery for the general public by increasing access to justice through the availability of digital formats of court records in the form of audio, video and transcripts whether offline or online. The proposed consultancy will utilize existing connectivity infrastructure and the Judiciary’s Court Recording Transcription System (CRTS) that transfer court recordings to a centralized storage location. Each of the court rooms selected for this pilot are already equipped with recording equipment to capture the proceedings and the selected BPO is expected to provide transcripts of the recordings in accordance with an SLA, to be agreed upon.
