Our most popular bike day tours are:
Discover the beautiful nature of Jinja. This route will surprise you with the stunning scenery outside of the town. You will cycle through a variety of beautiful landscapes and meet a handful of different animals from Marabou storks and Vervet Monkeys, to Red Tailed monkeys and Village Weavers. Catch a relaxing ride on a boat back to town, watching the fishermen, birds and ripples of the Nile take your breath away.
Have you ever seen the highlights of the first industrial town of Uganda? Have you ever thought of the stories behind the beautiful but rundown buildings from the colonial times around Jinja? You will ride to stunning land marks that you may not have known existed. Increase your knowledge of Uganda, learn the history of Jinja, and discover the facts and fables on a bicycle.
- Mabira forest and tea estates tour
On the West bank of the Nile, Bikeventures organises a Mabira forest and tea estates tour. This tour can start and end at The Haven Eco River Lodge Uganda Jinja, or Wildwaters Lodge Uganda.
Bikeventures organizes tours on the West banks of the Nile starting from Wildwaters Lodge Uganda or Kalagala Falls and Tented Overland Camps, and The Kipling Lodge. Our tour guides will explore with you the villages around whilst on a bicycle through different plantations and swamps. Depending on the level of your fitness the rides can be modified from an easy 5 km to a little more challenge up to 15 km (1 to 4 hours).
- Kalagala Mabira Forest Tour
On the West bank of the Nile, Bikeventures organizes a Kalagala Mabira Forest Tour. This tour starts and end at Kalagala Falls Tented and overland Camp or WildWaters Lodge Kangulumira. During this tour our guides will explore with you the villages around the banks of the Nile. You will cycle on single tracks and small rural roads through the outskirts of Mabira forest and through the rolling tea estate area.
- Tea estates and sugar cane plantations tour
On the West bank of the Nile, Bikeventures organises a Tea estates and sugar cane plantations tour. This tour starts and ends at Nile It Resort Jinja. During the Tea estates and sugar cane plantations tour, our tour guides will explore with you the villages around the banks of the Nile. Depending on the level of fitness the rides can be modified from an easy 5 km to a little more challenge 15 km (1 to 4 hours). You will cycle on single tracks and small rural roads through the rolling tea with estates and sugar cane plantations. Also you will have a chance to have the most beautiful views of the river Nile.

All tours will start from Bujagali and range from short village tours to more hard core mountain bike tours.

It is with great excitement that Bikeventures launched Jinja’s first ever Clue Hunts. We have a range of different hunts you can take depending on ages, and fitness. The clue hunts are self guides adventures, following questions and clues along the way. These trails are made for families and is 100% child friendly with the option of child seats and trailers to choose from. The paper clue hunt is free when you are renting our bicycle, the digital clue hunt is $5 when you are renting our bicycle.
Bikeventures trains unemployed youth from Jinja to become bicycle tour guides. After their training they earn a living as tour guides. The boys and girls are very enthusiastic, well trained and knowledgeable.
