Service Information

ICT services at the SLAU are provided through the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology with a vision of SLAU a modern ICT-driven university.

The University has over 200 workstations used by staff and students all connected to the Local Area Network with full intranet and Internet Access. Through a 512 Kbps link, as well as our own domain and website, all students and staff have access to Internet and email services. The University is working in implementing wirelesss intranet and Internet access round the campus. The ICT Department collaborates with the academic faculties and

Departments of the university to ensure that the students are adequately computer literate. It also facilitates ICT support, value-delivery and strategic planning for ICT infrastructure to support current and future needs.

The faculty is also managing a multi-billion dollar National laptop scheme for students and teachers in the country. Plans are underway to establish an ultra-modern service center at the University that will provide continued maintenance and support for all laptop users on this scheme.
